PERSONNEL & MANAGEMENT

As mentioned CAP will take advantage of Clamor co-founder Jason Kucsma’s intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the magazine and his experiences as a DAM professional to build this collection. We estimate that employing Kucsma to work on CAP full-time for an entire year will provide ample time to populate the collection and identify areas of the collection that will need improvement or special attention. Because the digitization of the collection will be expedited by working directly with the native digital files, one staff person will be capable of culling objects for the collection. The most time-consuming work will involve examining organizational digital archives for relevant ephemeral materials for the collection and negotiating the digitization of those elements.

Kucsma will work directly with current and past Clamor staff to identify and track down a comprehensive collection of resources that may be preserved by individual staff members when those resources are not available from Clamor Magazine’s main (unorganized) archives. The project will be managed jointly by Clamor co-publishers Mandy Van Deven, Jen Angel, Nomy Lamm, and Jason Kucsma — with guidance from current and past editorial and volunteer staff.
